RFX is proud to announce a new sponsorship deal with the Quad Lock Honda Racing Team, a rising powerhouse in AMA Supercross and Motocross. This partnership brings together RFX’s race-proven performance parts with a race-winning Honda squad competing at the highest level. As the 2026 season kicks off, both organizations are poised to drive innovation and dominate the off-road racing scene with a shared commitment to races and results.

 

Meet the Quad Lock Honda Team Riders 

Shane McElrath - SX1 Class (450cc) Contender 

Shane McElrath is a proven championship contender in the SX1 (450cc) class. He earned two 3rd places in the 2016 250SX East series and is a 2-time 250SX West runner-up with multiple Supercross victories to his name. McElrath is also known for his strong faith and technical hobbies off the track, from building custom car audio kits to go-karting and cycling in his downtime. Fresh off capturing the Australian Supercross, McElrath brings momentum and determination to the 450 class this year.

Dean Wilson - Veteran racer in SX1 (450cc)

Dean Wilson, a veteran SX1 competitor, carries an impressive resume built over a decade at the top. He clinched the AMA 250 Motocross National Championship in 2011 and has notched multiple top-10 season finishes in the premier 450SX class since turning pro in 2010. The Scottish-born rider stands 6'1" tall and splits his training between California and Florida, staying race-fit with the activities like mountain biking. Wilson's seasoned experience, combined with his credible work and consistency, makes him a stabilizing force and a mentor within the team's lineup.

Joey Savatgy - Consistent front-runner in SX1 (450cc)

Joey Savatgy has been a consistent front-runner in Supercross since turning pro in 2013, quickly establishing himself among the elite. He boasts career highlights such as a runner-up finish in the 250SX West series, seven AMA Pro Motocross 250 class wins, and the 2019 AMA 450SX Rookie of the Year honor, achievements that speak to his talent and tenacity. Most recently, Savatgy continued to impress on the international stage, finishing runner-up to Justin Anderson in the 2025 Australian Supercross Championship (450 class) and securing a strong second overall in the 2025 World Supercross Championship. Known for his relentless drive and racecraft, the Georgia native brings a fierce competitive edge and a performance-driven mindset to the Quad Lock Honda Team.

Brodie Connolly - Rising force in SX2 (250cc)

Brodie Connolly lines up for the team in the SX2 (250cc) category and brings international pedigree and momentum into the 2025 season. The 21-year-old New Zealand native started racing at just five years old and has quickly climbed the ranks, becoming the 2024 MX2 Champion and proudly representing his country at the Motocross of Nations. After making his pro debut in 2023, Connolly has shown both speed and consistency, finishing third overall in the MX2 class in his rookie year. Known for his grounded personality and relentless focus, Connolly is a strong, calculated rider with a championship mindset.

As part of this new partnership, the Quad Lock Honda team’s CRF450R and CRF250R race bikes will be outfitted with RFX’s premium hard parts - from ultra-durable F7 & F8 Taper bars to precision-engineered levers and controls. Each round of AMA Supercross and Motocross now becomes a proving ground for these components, pushing them to the limit in the most demanding race conditions. The feedback from elite riders like McElrath, Wilson, Savatgy and Connolly will feed directly into RFX’s product development cycle, ensuring that our designs remain truly race-proven.
