MXGP Round 4 Riola Sardo: One of the Toughest Tests on the MXGP Calendar

Round four of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship took place on April 11–12 at Crossodromo Comunale “Le Dune” in Riola Sardo, on the Mediterranean island of Sardegna.

Back on the calendar for the sixth time, the iconic sand circuit once again proved to be one of the most demanding tracks of the season. With very limited track preparation throughout the weekend, the surface became even more brutal, pushing every rider to their limits.

A difficult GP for the Honda SR Motoblouz team this weekend.

Despite crashes in both races, Kevin fought all the way to the flag and finished P20 and P13.

Unfortunately, Thibault could not start the races after hurting himself in warm-up this morning, which reactivated the injury from the Spanish GP.

In these tough conditions, the championship leaders came out on top, with Red Bull KTM’s Lucas Coenen taking the win in MXGP and Simon Laengenfelder securing victory in MX2.

The team keep fighting and come back stronger next weekend for the GP of Italy in Arco.
